ALBERT LINCOLN ROBINSON JR. was born on August 3, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Albert Lincoln Robinson, Sr. and Mary Ellen Robinson. He was affectionately known as “Sonny” to family and friends. On November 6, 2025, the Lord saw fit to take him, and he will be sorely missed by many. Albert grew up in the Cherry Hill community of Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended elementary and junior high school. His senior high school years were spent at Baltimore City College. Later, he became a proud student of Coppin State College and carried his college education with dignity and purpose. He was the father of one child, Adam, who was remarkably close to him and viewed him as “the world‘s coolest dad”. Adam further describes his dad as having been caring, compassionate, reliable, respectful, and endlessly interesting. Albert was a man of boundless curiosity and intellect, an avid reader who explored a wide range of topics—from cars and computers to politics and the wonders of the solar system. Wherever he went, his laptop and tablet were never far behind –a testament to his sharp mind and deep appreciation for technology. His love for nature was equally profound; he found peace and inspiration behind the lens, capturing the beauty of flowers, plants, the moon, the sun, and the ocean through his photography, which he truly excelled in. Another one of Albert’s passions was music. He shared his good taste and deep appreciation for music with his son Adam, introducing him to several famous bands he had seen in person and causing his son to develop a taste for the same kind of music. Albert’s love for music was also reflected in his impressive album collection, which grew to more than 500 albums, each one a piece of his story. Albert even had a remarkable talent for poetry, crafting verses that resonated with emotion and insight. He also had a flair for cooking, especially when it came to chicken. He could have authored a cookbook with the countless ways he transformed it into mouthwatering meals; each prepared with care and creativity. In 2014, after working at RICOH as a technician for approximately twenty years, Albert retired. However, he did not leave technology behind. It was clear that he understood the inner workings of computers and machines, and even built computers from scratch, upgrading them piece by piece to make them faster. Obviously a very insightful dad, Albert again passed his knowledge down to his son, which helped guide his son towards a career in IT. Although he was very much an introvert at heart, he had the uncanny ability to tie an entire room together. People loved talking with him, being around him, and sharing space with him. In fact, others seemed to be simply drawn to him, as he had the rare ability to flip the switch to go from observer to effortlessly sociable, engaging, and magnetic whenever the moment called for it. A true home body, Albert cherished quiet moments at home-watching TV, listening to music, and reading. Albert’s passionate spirit and enthusiasm for life, and all that it brings will live on in his only son, Adam Robinson and his wife, Sarah Ozment and their three children (Albert’s Granddaughters) Vivian, Valerie and Violet Robinson. Left to cherish loving memories of him are his sisters Carolyn, Maria and Deborah who grew up with him, also siblings Brenda, Marenda, Audie, Edie, Loretta, Michael, Sheila, James, Darlene and Dora; a host of nephews and nieces; a very dear and close friend, Vernice Turner; and many cousins and longtime friends.
