ROBERTA LOUISE BROWN, daughter of the late Harvey and Edna Thompson, was born on September 29, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this earthly life and God granted her wings on May 3, 2021. She received her early education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Dunbar High School. She joined the church at an early age and was a faithful member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church. While attending St. Ann’s, Louise served on various ministries which included The Ladies Auxiliary of Saint Peters Claver and Eucharistic Ministry just to name a few. Louise also served her community by providing MINISTRY to the SICK and the less fortunate. After graduating from high school Louise worked in the nursing field as a nurse technician at the North Charles Hospital. Staying within the nursing field Louise continued servicing those in need at the Rosewood Center. Louise finished and retired her professional career in the Baltimore County Public School System. While serving in the school system Louise received numerous accolades and service awards, which included a Channel 13 Salute. Louise was introduced to the “love of her life,” George, by her friend Dorothy in the early 1950s. Friendship blossomed into love, and on August 13, 1958 they took a leap of faith and entered into Holy Matrimony. Their marriage had lasted fifty years, and from this union three children were born: Phillip, Darryl and Phyllis. Her favorite pastimes were traveling and entertaining her friends and family. During her later years, Louise enjoyed watching her favorite shows on television. Her favorite channel was the Gameshow Network and playing many games with her great-grandson Ryan West who she shared a special bond with. “Peaches”, Sweet Mother Brown or “Granny,” as she was affectionately called, was a wonderful, sweet and fun-loving woman who believed in family values and had a strong will to live. She was anchored in the Lord and trusted God with all her heart. Louise leaves to honor her legacy: her son, Darryl K. Brown; daughter, Phyllis E. Brewer; son-in-law Anthony; three grandchildren, Lemmuel West Jr. (daughterin-law Angela), Jada D. Brewer and Phillip Brown Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Sean A Hodgson and Ryan A. West, two sisters-in-law, Viola V. Bowers and Dorothy L. Hatcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her two children Michelle Williams and Phillip C. Brown
