Reginald Griffin

“Griffin” or “Griff” known to all that had the pleasure to meet him. Reginald Griffin was the 4th child born on July 11, 1950 to the late Charles and Helen Griffin, Sr. Griffin attended St. Francis Xavier School also attended Baltimore City Public School Systems. Graduating from Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in 1970, he continued his education by attending Coppin State University. While attending Dunbar he worked at Miller’s Delicatessen. During his college years he worked various places, H&S Bakery, Sheraton Broadway Hotel, John Hopkins Hospital also Kennedy Krieger Institute after attending college he continued to work with special needs children from which he enjoyed teaching. In 1987 Griffin begin his employment with Baltimore City at “Interstate Division of Baltimore City” as a Community Aide and in 1988 he became an Inspector Trainee. In 1991 he was hired at “Department of Transportation” as a Construction Inspector. He worked with them until 2013 when he decided to retire. He was blessed with a son Idrice and a daughter Ericka. Griffin was graced with 3 beautiful grandsons. In 2001 Griffin married the “Love of his Life” Constance Hall-Griffin. This union united him with an extended family of a daughter and 4 grandchildren that he loved dearly. During his lifetime he has touched so many people through his travels of life. He has a left a memorable mark that shall never be forgotten. Griffin was an active man who loved to cook, work outdoors in his yard but his passion was fishing. He loved to break bread with anyone who came to his table weather it was to enjoy a grilled meal or a holiday feast. Griffin was always cooking on the grill for the family and his second family “The Watsons”. After a short illness he was called to Glory and given his wings on January 27,2022. Reginald Griffin had many titles affectionately known to his wife as Husband, Honey, Bab and Redinal and to the rest of the family who may have called him Big Brother Reggie and Uncle Reg. Proceeding him in transition Charles and Helen Griffin, Sr and Charles Griffin Jr. Griffin leave to morn his memory his loving wife Constance Hall-Griffin, Idrice Griffin (Raquel), Ericka Chambers (James), Candice Hope (Melvin) Siblings: Linda McCraige, Carolyn Griffin, Jacqueline Griffin-Brooks, Tony Griffin, Tyrone Griffin (Diane), Robin Allen (Michael) Charlene Wilkins (Erwin) David Griffin, seven grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
