In the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, our loved one, MONICA ANN WILLIAMS suddenly departed this earthly life at her home in Baltimore City. She was 41 years old, born to Jon Henri and Christine Columbine (Harper) Williams on June 26, 1983. Monica was the youngest of three children. She entered this world with a fearless and strong personality. She always did what she wanted and stood strong on what she didn’t want. She was fearless, interesting to be around, and true to herself. Monica received her elementary school education in the Catholic school system and later transferred to Baltimore City Public schools where she graduated from Southwestern High School in 2001 with a certification in Childcare. She was the graduating class Historian. She furthered her skill training over the years pursuing cosmetology and phlebotomy. Monica settled in with her career as a day care teacher, at Developing Minds Daycare in Baltimore County in 2017. She was able to touch the lives of many babies, their families, and co-workers. She left her mark at Developing Minds as a star employee, supportive co-worker and friend. Monica had many babies that she nurtured at work in her lifetime, but she was blessed with three children of her own: Quaron, Zyon, and Peyton. She was a good mother, her children were always neatly dressed, clean and involved in activities. Monica was a tough parent and at times fell short. She was consistent with her love for and protection of all of them no matter what was happening. Monica adored her children; she loved spending time with them, showing pictures and sharing their accomplishments with everyone around her. She loved her family and enjoyed any time the family could get together. Monica had many friends and some who became family. She was always Monica, standing firmly on her desires and beliefs. She was outspoken, splashed with humor and a big heart. Monica was an active lifetime member of Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church. She paved a path in various ministries at the church. She was a member of the Children and Youth choirs earlier in life. As an adult Monica attended Adult Sunday School and was a substitute teacher for Youth Sunday School. She had a supportive church family and was adored by them. Monica was resilient, and some descriptors of Monica given by her family and friends are: Charismatic, Opinionated Outspoken, Fearless, Loyal Friend, Passionate, Free Spirited, Loved, Loving, Strong-Willed, Fun, Creative, Fashionable, Stubborn, Sassy, Captivating, Complicated, Eccentric, Misunderstood, Alluring, and Beautiful. Monica was preceded in death by her father, Jon Henri Williams and her brother, Marcus Venson Harper Sr. We will always carry your memory in our hearts, Monica. She is survived by her children, Quaron, Zyon and Peyton Ramsey; her mother, Christine Boyd; her sister, Marcia Williams; six aunts, Celeste (Bruce) Moore, Claudette Brown, Geraldine Harper, Fern Harper, Theresa Howard, and JoAnne; four uncles, Showell Williams, Thomas Wade, William Harper, and John Harper; four nieces and two nephews, Marcus Jr, and Tyrikia Harper, Kamryn, Kevyn, Ryan’Marie, and Richard III Jones; two great-nieces and a great-nephew, Sema’j, Macyn and Braylen; a god-sister and cousin, Caryn; a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
