Michael Linwood Wyche, 77, of Felton, PA departed this life on Friday, November 6, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born February 21, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to the late Andrew and Ruth Wyche. Michael received his education in the Baltimore Public School System where his athletic abilitydid not go unnoticed; he was a track star, long distance runner, and exceptional swimmer. He graduated from Baltimore City College (High School) and post-graduation, Michael studied photography at a local trade school which led to a lifelong love of the craft. At the age of 19, Michael enlisted in the United States Army. During his tenure of service, he fulfilled a logistical distribution role ensuring necessary supplies were on hand for his comrades in the field. Michael’s post-military career included 40 years as an employee with the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). After his retirement from the MTA, he enjoyed working part-time for Avis at their BWI location. Michael’s hard-working, humble, and selfless nature was a great indicator of his devotion as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In 1994, he and his devoted wife Meena were joined in Holy Matrimony. Throughout their 26 year marriage, they shared innumerable special moments and their union touched the lives of many. During Michael’s illness, Meena remained by his side as a dedicated caregiver. Affectionately known as Big Mike to some and Mike to others, he was a friendly and outgoing shining star who enjoyed the company of people. His magnetic personality and captivating smile could light up any room. He was a member of several clubs including the Royal Vikings Motorcycle Club, the CB Radio Club where he was known as “The Baltimore Bandit,” the Red Lion Train Station Model Railroaders Club, and a 10 Speed Bike Club. His other interests included chess, fishing, landscaping, cooking, and wine making. At one time, he was even a lifeguard at the Cherry Hill Swimming Pool. His famous 3-Layer Chocolate Cake and Rum Cake were coveted staples at any family gathering and will be greatly missed by all. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Linwood Wyche, mother Ruth Marie Wyche, and brother Gerald Wyche. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Meena; nine children, Michael (Stacey), Beverly, Karl, Charlene, Hema (Larry), Sharon, Tonya, David (Cynthia), and Torrie (Ralph); twenty-one grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte; one sister-in-law, Rajdaye (Saki); three brother-in-laws, Dindial (Pat), Kolahal, and Himraj (Pamela), and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
