Jennifer B. Stover

“I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteousness Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing”. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Jennifer Bernice Stover, “Jen” as she was affectionately called, was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the only child to the late Nathaniel Jones and Maude Williams. After battling a lengthy illness, she peacefully transitioned on May 12, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was proceeded in death by her late husband Rickey Stover. Jennifer attended Carver Vocational Technical High School where she studied Business Administration. She excelled academically and served as the president of her senior class. After graduation, she pursued her passion in Business, becoming a credit analyst for the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company for over 27 years. Jennifer accepted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was baptized at The Christian Community Church of God. She later joined and served for many years at Kingdom Worship Center Columbia Campus under the tutelage of Archbishop Ralph L. Dennis. Jennifer enjoyed using her hands. She was a talented and creative individual who enjoyed expressing herself through handcrafts such as, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Jennifer’s legacy will live on through the many cherished gifts she lovingly made for her family and friends. She would not create anything without the use of a pattern. Her eye for detail was one of a kind. Her creative abilities transferred to her loving and devoted daughter. Fine dining was one of Jennifer’s favorite past times. She also enjoyed snacking on her favorite plain UTZ potato chips and drinking Coca-Cola. Family was important to Jennifer. Therefore, she professed her love for family often and always. Her only daughter, Rhonda, was the joy of her life. Jennifer and Rhonda shared very intimate moments with each other. In her final days, Rhonda bought her immeasurable joy and comfort with daily visits singing, worshipping, and interceding. These intimate moments were a true reflection of the deep love and connection between mother and daughter, a bond that will never be broken. Jennifer was known for her quiet and gentle spirit. Always putting others before herself, she NEVER complained even in the face of adversity and was a true fighter until the very end. Her endurance and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. As Jennifer’s life came to a close, she passed the torch onto her daughter who carries on her legacy of kindness, strength and resilience. Her love and teaching will always live on through her daughter. A beautiful testament to the enduring bond between mother and child. To continue the legacy and cherish the memory of Jennifer is her only daughter, Rhonda Bratcher (Rodney). One sister in-law, Marsha. Two stepsons, Rickey, and Jamal. Three grandchildren Anthony, Kiane’ (Cameron) and Rodney Jr. Three great grandchildren; Kamryn, Kyla, and Rodney III. Two dear cousins, Olden (Anne) and Lisa (Paul), and a host of extended family members and friend.
