Evan Baylor

Evan Daniel Baylor was born to David Baylor Sr. and Jacquetta Tidale on Saturday, January 23,1999 in Baltimore Md. at Sinai Hospital. Early Saturday morning on July 6, 2024 Evan transitioned to Eternity. Born prematurely at 21.5 weeks, Evan weighed 1 pound 6 ounces and was 17 inches long and came as a surprise to his dad, mom, and the family. He was faced with many hospital stays and multiple challenges from his premature birth, BUT through the Grace of God, he continued to excel. He was raised in Baltimore, Md and moved to Cockeysville, Md at a young age. He started his journey with Pact Helping Children With Special Needs at 6 months thru age 4 (where he developed a family bond with the nurses, teachers, therapist and other staff members) and received his education from Baltimore County Schools: Warren Elementary, Cockeysville Middle, and Dulaney High. Evan was able to obtain his Diploma through a special program because of his illnesses and hospital stays. He met and bonded with several friends in Cockeysville with whom he cherished a Special connection. Despite health limitations Evan was able to enjoy his life, including football with the Cockeysville Eagles (from ages 7-14), basketball Cockeysville team (from ages 7-10), fencing at Johns Hopkins (1 year), college at Colorado MESA University and he worked at Hertz as a car transporter (we genuinely appreciate his manager Patrick, who respected Evan so much as a man that he fought for his job security even with his numerous hospital stays). He was very resilient and was looking forward to so many things including going back to Colorado, starting a beard line that he made, making beats and continuing research on asthma and COPD in African American men. He grew up in a spiritually grounded family and attended Set The Captives Free with dad, mom, and his siblings and joined Operation Timothy from ages 10-13. Evan was a very caring person. He was both introspective and playful and enjoyed laughing/ smiling, video games, reading and music. He overcame a lot of pain and sickness throughout his life and maintained positivity. His dad sometimes called him "champion" and "old man" because he had been through and overcame so much, like a champ, and he was mature and knowledgeable beyond his years. Though death did not grant Evan the opportunity to bond with his paternal grandfather Ellis Baylor, he was grateful for the time he shared with his maternal grandfather Ervin Tisdale Sr who also proceeded him in death along with numerous other family members. Left to cherish Evan's memory are: Dad David Baylor Sr, Mom Jacquetta and Step Dad Larry Bailey, Siblings Chasity Bryant, David Baylor Jr and Ellissa Baylor, Neice Kayden and Nephews Ethan, Adrian and Keanu his Paternal Aunts Margret "Dino", Desiree "Nicey" (Donald), Charlene (Leslie), Deborah, Uncle Carl. Paternal Great Aunts Ruth Deloris Crawley and Marie Lewis. Maternal Aunts Erikka "His Terry", Tarshell (Garrett), Temika "Mekie", Maternal Uncle Ervin "Peewee"; Aunties Denisha, Sharon, Janice, Marquita "Tut", Samantha, Ronnett, Teresa; Uncle David T. and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins and those he considered relatives like his Best/ Special Friends from Cockeysville Kamari, his mom Cherrice Robertson, Zachar, Kaylee, Jasmine and Ashley, from Hertz, Nhijia and London; Godson Kaine Amir Bouldin and other countless people that he met in his life.
